Balotelli scores for U21
Mario Balotelli scores only goal for Italy U21 in match against Greece.
Inter’s superstar, Super Mario, scored a beautiful goal even the match finished 1-1.
For his debut, here is what he tell us:
“I am very happy with the goal, less so for the result, but that is part of football. Both teams played well and on a personal level I am fairly content, although one can always do better.”
“In the first half I thought my shot was on target, but it was just off. The overhead kick came out well, but unfortunately not quite well enough!
“My Serie A goal was great, although if you play enough games in the top flight you’re bound to score. The Italy goal was special as I waited so long and passionately wanted to wear this shirt.
“These are different things and two great sensations.”
“When you play with figures of this quality, it all becomes easier. We got on right away and I settled very quickly.”
Italian Super Mario
nter’s Mario Balotelli represented the Italian Under-21 team in today’s press conference ahead of Friday’s European Championship qualifier against Greece.
“I’m Italian, I feel Italian, and I will always play for the Italian national team,” said the 18-year-old striker. “I have never considered the possibility of playing for Ghana, not even two years ago when they called me up.”
On his possible debut at international level, Balotelli said: “I’m here and I’m ready. I will do my best for the team if I’m in the starting eleven, and I will support them from the bench if I’m left out.”
