Biography
Barwuah was born in Palermo and is the son of Ghanaian immigrants, Thomas and Rose Barwuah. In 1993, at the age of three, Mario was entrusted to the Balotelli family by the Court of Brescia. They resided in Concesio, a town and comune in the province of Brescia, in Lombardy. However, he is currently ineligible to obtain Italian citizenship, as his adoption was never made definitive.
According to the Law 91 of February 5, 1992, [4], Mario must wait until after his 18th birthday in order to request Italian citizenship. Only then will he be able to choose which citizenship to retain independently.
